Deb's Points 12/20/10

It's really 12/21/10, but I didn't want to mess up the date for recording purposes. I totally forgot to report in....even though my partner called to remind me! Sorry Mom.

Chris's Points 12/20/10

HOW IN THE WORLD DID IT GET TO BE THE 20TH ALREADY!!??!!

Time is really flying here in Alaska. My points - so I don't forget are:

Points: 645
Weight Lost: 2 pounds (Oh Yeah! Oh Yeah!)

Point wise I didn't have as great a week BUT weight wise I sure did!  I missed 2 hours of exercising this week that kind of kills you at 30 points a pop!  Thankfully I got my weight lost points and all the bonus ones too!  I also missed a few good habit days - oops!

I'm on the TRY, TRY AGAIN track too Kristy so don't feel bad.  But the next time you eat a cookie, just picture ME SHAKING MY FINGER AT YOU!  I will do the same.  It is a hard time of year to diet - however we are leagues ahead for at least trying!

I just looked at the clock and it is almost midnight so I better hit the publish button - goodnight all!

Love you,
Chris

I hated to give up those 30 points for weight loss, but I couldn't remember my exact weight from last week, so I couldn't add it in. Believe me, I have it written down for today.

Michelle's tough moment

Sorry Mom I did not do as well as you did. I gave into my tough moment. In fact I have given into several tough moments this week. Candy everywhere and home made treats every where I turn. I keep thinking I will do better each day but no such luck. Sorry Mike. I did do my exercise though. It's the -30 points each day in diet that are killing me right now.

Michelle

Mom's Tough Moment

We bought some boxes of Turtles chocolates to give to employees. Dad opened one on our way home and ate Turtle after Turtle!!! Yes, right in front of me! He kept offering me some....I wanted one so bad.......but somehow I restrained myself. So glad I did. When I finally could eat one (0n my free day), it just didn't taste as good as I'd imagined. Go figure!

Mom

Service

I saw a lady walking briskly out in the cold and thought she could use a lift. After she was done, I drove her on home. Boy, I feel all warm and fuzzy inside:)

ps, THANKS FOR THE CHRISTMAS PRESENTS CHRIS. You should get an extra 38 bonus points for the $38 you paid in shipping. Good lands, you need to join the rest of us in the Continental United States.:) haha

Helpful thought...helpful indeed:):)

OK, so to add a little humor to my "tough moment" post, I thought I would share a little advise.

When you sit down at the computer to indulge (sneak) in a few delicious Oreo's and set down your nice cup of milk close by, (yes Chris, I'm confessing) don't get distracted and pick up an identical cup next to it and take a big gulp.......................... because before you know it, you will be puking in the garbage can, because you realize that in that identical cup was not the milk you were hoping to wash down the cookie, but it was a cup of milk that had been sitting on the desk for a couple of days.:) YUCK ..............
Lesson learned!!!!! NO MORE OREO'S:):):):):)
On the bright side, I guess I don't have to count the calories from the oreos because they weren't ever digested. (totally kidding)

Question?

Hey everyone!

I hope this month is going well for you.  I just wanted to aske everyone a question to an idea that poped into my brain when watching 'The Biggest Loser' last Tuesday.

They have a pound for pound challenge and will donate money for every pound lost.  You can go to http://www.biggestloser.com/ to learn more.  I thought that this might be something we could add to our compition as a motivator during the next upcoming months.

Inspiring Thought~

The Jorgensen's have officially lost over 100 pounds this past year!  Amazing!!

This is proof that step by step things come to pass.  What's even more amazing is the hours spent on our good habits, it would be fun to know how many hours of scripture study we have done this year together.  We are really developing some healthy habits - both spiritually and physically.  I love my family!

Way to go everyone!!!

Love you,
Chris

Kristy's Points 12/13/10

Thanks for the call Chris.:) I had a busy night, but I can still see the ink on my hand that reads, "DON'T FORGET TO POST" :) I truly am concerned that I'm loosing my mind because I have been so forgetful lately. Personally I blame weight loss, so I better go eat some oreos.:) haha j/k (I would find any excuse for chocolate) Don't worry Chris, I shall resist!! I did better this week but I can still step it up.

Weight Loss- (maintained)
Great job Chris!!!

Mike's Points 12/13/10

Way to go last week Michelle..... WE ROCK!!!!!!!
I seem to be having a hard time getting out of vacation mode because I had no weight loss this week. My points aren't too bad though. I think I will use Disneyland as motivation to step things up. I don't want to get kicked off any rides because I exceed the maximum weight requirement.) hahahaha j/k

The Challenge

Here's a challenge I'm giving myself:

The 12 lbs to Christmas Challenge

Maybe it's a little far-fetched, but if you shoot for the moon and reach the stars it's better than nothing!

Here's how I'm going to do it: SALADS SALADS SALADS and NO SUGAR. Wish me luck!

Deb

Here's a challenge

Michelle's thoughts, etc.

So I am going to do one big blog entry for points...

Service- I have been helping a friend of mine who is in the hospital, running around for her, helping with her bills, getting her car etc.
I also was able to pass out extra food from Ron's Christmas party to members of the ward who are in need.

Tough moment- How about a tough week. I didn't do so good at Book club this week. Too many treats and Christmas goodies handed out. I didn't do too good at Ron's Christmas party either. Today will be a good day though- hopefully!

Thoughts-"I couldn't wait for success so I went ahead without it" Just go for it and success will follow.

"I complained because I had no shoes until I saw a man who had no feet" -sign in a shoe repair shop
Let's be grateful for what we have not what we are lacking.

Which leads me to my Thankful for..
I am thankful for my calling that gives me the opportunity to serve a lot of different people that I might not have gotten to know other wise.

Deb's Service

What a bummer that we can't do more than one service per week. ha ha

My service this week: I totally helped my friend out who was in a bind. She had her work party the same day as our ward party, so she asked me if I'd take her kids to the ward party so they wouldn't miss out on the Grinch (who came to visit). All went well -- the kids had a great time together.
Deb

Deb's tough moment

Okay, I really don't understand this. I started running again this week and I should be losing weight, but instead I've gained. What's up with that? I think I may have water retention or muscle gain or something cause this is really frustrating.
See ya
Deb

Deb is Thankful

I am thankful for general conference on DVD....so I can watch it over and over while I quilt. Only one problem -- I listen to it so many times I can't remember who said what. But oh well, it's all good.

Mom's Thought

Here's a short thought from Pres. Hinckley: "You can be smart and happy or stupid and miserable....it's your choice." Now that's putting it out there from a prophet. I encourage all of us to be smart and happy! Love, Mom

MOM'S THANKFUL

TODAY I'M FEELING THANKFUL FOR MY SIBLINGS. I DON'T GET TO SEE THEM VERY OFTEN AND ENJOYED A NICE VISIT TODAY WITH MY BROTHER, DARRELL. IT MADE ME VERY HAPPY!

Chris

Chris is Thankful

I am thankful for all of you who inspire me to be better!

Love you,
Chris

Everyone!

Will you please double check the overall weight you have lost this year so I have it accurate to date!  When posting on Monday please do the following.

Post:
1.  Weekly points =
2.  Weight lost =
3.  Total Weight lost =

This total weight lost is what you have lost since we started this contest.

Thanks,
Chris

MIKE, DEB AND MOM

Mom - is your 1 pound new weight lost or catch up weight?

Deb and Mike, since you 2 have not been doing the contest for a while, I need to know if the 4 pound loss (Mike) and the 1.5 pound loss (Deb) you both had this week is new weight lost since the contest began.

Mike you show an overall weight loss this year of 26.5 pounds - do you really now have a weight loss of 30.5 pounds?

Deb you show an overall weigtht loss this year of 28 pounds - do you really now have a weight loss of 29.5?

If it is not, then I can't put it in the overall weight loss until you get back to the weight lost reflected earlier in the game.  When you post the weight loss just let me know that it is NOT new weight and when it is new weight lost!   All the rest of us have caught up with our summer splurge, but what I was doing was putting and asterisk beside the weight lost for the week so it was still registered but there was a notation at the bottom that this was not new weight.

Please let me know so that I can keep a current run on the overall weight we have lost this year.  The other thing we could do is substract what you gained back.  Either way works just let me know how you want to handle it!  As of current, I just tagged it as not new weight lost until I hear back from you.

Thanks,
Chris

Chris's Points 12/6/10

Shoot!!  I completely forgot to post my points!  I really think I deserve a few freebies for all the time I spend on this darn blog!  I just think that when I spend several hours updating things I've done all I need and then suddenly sometime during the week I suddenly learn that I have forgotten something - like posting my points.  Sorry Kristy!  I would have had a much better score had I posted on Monday.  I will not forget this next Monday as I am jammin this week!!  I am going for that perfect score and feeling the results!

My Points: 565
Weight Lost: 0 pounds

Hoping for a better week next week!

Mike's Points 12-6-10

Had a pretty good week. I have started to lose all the junk I put on over Thanksgiving.
Point total- 680
Weight loss- 4 lbs

Kristy's Points 12/6/10

Well I got a dyslexic score of 725 minus 2. Now Chris, before you go and get all proud of me, (in case you didn't catch my silliness), my score REALLY was 525. Nothing to write home to mom about, but considering my CRAZY week I guess its so-so. I really need to focus more because my mindset isn't in the game yet. But everyone better watch out because I got a pep talk from Chris and I'm back on board.:)
Take care everyone!!

ps. thanks for the service Deb. I should have known when Mike came to the party on time that either magic happened or he had some awesome help from Debbie-sue.

Mom's Points 12/6/10

I really tried hard this week and had one of my better weeks.
Points: 740 (missed my 6th cup of water one day!)
Weight loss: 1 lb - which makes me close to my maintenance weight again

I wish for each of us a great week this week..........great in many important ways! I am so grateful for the wonderful experiences you all are having as you live the gospel. I consider myself a very blessed mother.

Love, Mom

Deb's Points 12/06/10

525 points -- sorry Wenona and/or Mom--I didn't have the best week...but so far this next week is looking GREAT! :)

Weight loss = 1.5 lbs (BARELY!) THIS WAS THE GOOD NEWS!!!!

Love,
Deb

Michelle's points 12/6/10

I didn't do the best but I figured that low points are better than No points- right!?

I got 595 points.
I did lose weight after my Thanksgiving feast weight gain but it was not new weight.

Better luck next week for me and all of you too.

Michelle

PS
Kristy, I loved your cake and gingerbread house. Are you sure you don't want to come and decorate for our parties too?!

Chris is thankful!

I am thankful for FAITH and the blessing that come with living the gospel. Without going into a lot of detail, I just want you to know that I know that when faith is exercised, miracles happen!  Thank you for fasting last month with us as James' appointment as Director is coming to and end.  As a result of last months fast, we have been blessed with peace and knowing that all will be well as we go through this change.  Thank you for all of you who knew and participated.  The strength from our family is strong and one that we need to continue to lean upon.

Love you,
Chris

AMOUNT FOR WINNING DECEMBER CONTEST

This month we have 6 participants (3 partnerships): Kristy and Chris, Mike and Michelle, and Mom and Deb.

Which means the winning breaks down like this: 6 participants x $15.00 fee = $90.00/2(monthly and weekly winners = $45.00 for the monthly winner and $45.00/5 weeks = $9.00 per week for weekly winners (partners will divide this amount equally - $4.50 per person).

DECEMBER WINNINGS!
Weekly winner wins: $9.00/per week per partnership
Monthly winner wins: $45.00

Hopefully that makes sense!
Chris

DECEMBER CONTEST

Okay, it was decided that the contest should start on November 29.  I have finally fixed the rules to show the date change.  But here a a few things to note:  The contest will run for 5 weeks to bring it to Jan. 2 everyone will get FREE POINTS ON DECEMBER 25 AND DECEMBER 31 for Christmas Day and New Year's Eve - so enjoy those days for all the others will count!!

Thanks,
Chris
Again!  I am sorry I got a bit behind on the blogging.  I have been staying on top of my points for this week however - even if they aren't perfect!

Michelle Hard moments

So I have a few hard moments this week on the diet- sorry Mike

At Presidency meeting we had cheese cake so I had to have some!!!

Also, at pack meeting this week we were making s'mores so I had to steal some chocolate and oh yeah, one other chocolate bar melted so it was no good so I had to eat it!!

So it looks like a didn't make my eating points for a couple of days and then I ate a stray chip one night after 9:00.

OK my confession session it over. I am doing OK on my weight loss though and that is a blessing.

I will get in another thought tomorrow.

Michelle

Novemeber is all caught up!

I am really sorry I haven't kept up on the blog the last week and a half.  Life has been very interesting here in Anchorage.  I should be able to keep up through this next contest.

I am not feeling as proud of my monthly win this month as last month.  I actually worked hard last month.  This month though I have maintained to the ounce (which I am happy about) I haven't really lost.  Wenona should have been the winner for November, she didn't post her last points and I only beat her out by 200 points, so even if she had a bad week it wouldn't have taken much to beat my points and then Mom and Michelle didn't post a couple of time last month, so really I only won because nobody posted consistently but me and my scores were not all that great!

SO - fair warning!  I am going for another victory only this time I AM going to earn it!  I will have the weight loss to prove it.

Have fun and LET'S GO GET'EM KRISTY!!
Chris

Service

Very nice service, Deb. Because service is the Lord's way, it does feel good. It also feels good to a mother to have children serving and helping one another. I'm thankful that each of you do that from time to time. That is a great delight to a mother's heart. Love, Mom

Service Report

Well, I did a service today.

I went to Mike and Kristy's house to drop Katie off so she could go to their ward party with Kacie and Ethan. When I stopped by Mike, nor Kristy were anywhere to be seen. I called Mike to see where they were, and Kristy, of course was helping with last minute decorations for the ward party (she will always be deemed as the world's best decorator...and cake decorator, too, I might add)...and Mike was running an errand.

Well, the kids weren't ready and it was getting close to time to leave, so my little service for the day was to surprise them and have the kids all ready to go so they could leave for the party stress-free. I fixed Kacie's hair, then of course Katie's hair had to match so they could be 'twins', then I made sure they all had clean clothes (which they did) and shoes on. JJ was asleep so I didn't dare wake him, though. Anyway, Mike, I hope it helped a little! It sure felt good to help, even in a small way.

Love,
Deb

Okay, here's my thought

I guess stating something we are thankful for is a whole other thing, so that last inspirational thought goes to being THANKFUL.

For my inspiration or whatever I'm going to tell you something I have been struggling with. I just plain haven't wanted to get out and exercise without a purpose. It's been hard over the last 2 months.

So, I have to create a REASON TO RUN...therefore I rallied the forces (friends) and now have a Ragnar Relay Team for the ARIZONA Ragnar race! And it's TOTALLY working! I have been exercising again!!!! I can't let my team down...so now that someone is counting on me, I do it....not to mention I LOVE being on a team. There's just something about it. I've always loved that.

Okay, so another cool part of that is that I get to see RON and MICHELLE again, too, cause the race is right by their house. (Well, pretty close). I'm so excited that I not only will be getting back in shape, but get to see fmaly, too. And, not to mention, we'll also be having a "girls weekend out" which will be fun (with my friends, on the race).

So I guess my long long inspirational thought for the day is this: FIND WHAT WORKS FOR YOU! Being on a team works for me. I love it!

Love,
Deb

Deb's thought

Hey, this is my inspirational thought for the week.

My inspiration is to be grateful.
I am grateful for our wonderful family! This has been so fun to keep in touch through this blog. Even though I've been out for a couple of months.

I am also grateful that Heavenly Father looks after each one of us. What blessings we have all received! We have much to be thankful for.

When I was younger, running for college, I ALWAYS thanked Heavenly Father in my prayers for the body he gave me -- a body that was able to run and be healthy. So, as a reminder to myself and everyone...don't forget to thank H.F. for our healthy bodies and the ability to stay in shape! (Even if everything sags now!) :)

Love you all-
Deb

Thursday, December 2, 2010

Hi from Michelle

My computer has not been working properly so this is the first time I was able to blog.

From the sounds of things we started on Monday. Mike is my partner. (SO FUN!!)

I already had my goals posted from before but I thought I would state them again, with a few changes, for good measure.

Water-like everyone else
Jenny Craig diet (more maintenance now)
Exercise 3 hours a week
Scripture 15 min. a day
Don't eat after 9:00
Loss 1/2 pound a week.

Good Luck to everyone-especially my partner-Mike.

Since No one really posted their goals again on Monday I vote for not points taken off for late goal posting.

Michelle

Mike's Plan

Eating- 4 small balanced meals each day, 1 treat, no snacking
Exercise - 3 hours/week
Good Habit - Read the Scriptures every day
Bad Habit - No Pop
Weight Loss - 4 lbs the first week and 2 lbs each week thereafter.
Monday was a X day

Now I need a correction on the Game. I understood that we were not doing it over thanksgiving week and starting Monday the 30th and going 4 weeks. If we are going six weeks then I call as part of my plan Christmas and new years eave X days. Also My partner is Michelle this Month. If I am wrong on any of these things please clarify soon, otherwise I am going to assume this is the way its going. Our fee's were paid while we were in Idaho for thanks giving.

Mike

Kristy's in the game!!!!

Well shucks,
I signed on and was prepared to make a lot of excuses why I haven't posted yet, but then I read Mom's inspirational thought from last week which read" DON'T MAKE EXCUSES- JUST DO IT." So I guess that means I better spare you all and just post my goal, (all-be-it super late, SORRY CHRIS-I'll understand if you fire me and choose the dog as your new partner.
(In my defence, I thought everyone said the new start date was last Monday, not the 22, but that's nooooooo excuse, just an explanation:) haha
Gee gollie- I'm off to just a fantastic start!!!!

Food Plan-Calorie count
Exercise Plan- 200 (Must I explain the boring details???)
Good habit- "To-Do List"
Bad Habit-Cut the junk food munchies
Weight loss goal- Maintain

Don't worry Chris, even if this week is in the toilet, I'll make you proud as a momma bear next week!!!

FINANCE UPDATE BY DEB AS OF 11/22/10

Okay, Here's the finance update.....finally:

I looked through the blog and could not see any final results for November's contest....(I am assuming Chris won the 4th week, even though Matt and Wenona didn't post their points. And I'm guessing Chris won the month, as well, but I'm not sure).

So, these points are THROUGH NOV. 15TH....the first 3 weeks of November.

At the end of 3 weeks in November each of you had the following credits:
Mom $-2.5 (Unless you paid your Nov 10.00 fee. You had a 7.50 credit at the end of October.)
Ron $0
Michelle $33.75
Chris $27.09 (this will be more if you won the final week, and the month of Nov. overall)
Deb $57.08
Jon $0
Wenona $6.25 (you had a 3.75 credit at end of Oct, then won twice in Nov. at 6.25 each)
Mike $3.75
Kristy $0
Sara $40 (you had $50.00 credit at end of Oct, but I took 10.00 to pay Matt's entry fee for Nov)
Matt $0

MOM -- I NEED TO DOUBLECHECK THE CASH AMOUNT IN THE POT. IT SHOULD EQUAL $196.67 PLUS $2.50 YOU SHOULD HAVE ADDED FOR YOUR ENTRY FEE LAST MONTH FOR A TOTAL OF $199.17. WILL YOU COUNT IT FOR ME? THANKS....JUST MAKING SURE WE BALANCE. :)

Will update final amounts when get November results. Hope this helps!

Interesting how when I stick to my goals closer and get nearly perfect scores that I actually lose weight.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  Be strong this week - but take a day off (Thursday)!

Michelle 11/22/10

I have been really busy lately and I have not had time to keep track of points or make sure I am doing my reading, etc.
I did loose my 1/2 pound this week so that is great. I am pretty much keeping to my diet it's just the time and thought that goes into doing it all right now. I can post my weight loss each week for the family weight loss total just for fun!
I am trying to decide if I will be part of the next round or not. I may be able to join you next time or jump in later if that is allowed. SORRY! I really want to keep it doing, I just think I need to take a few weeks off for right now.

Good luck to everyone else.

Thought

Don't make excuses......just DO IT!

This thougth is for my benefit. I need to act with real intent and stop making excuses for not meeting some of my goals.

MOM

Thought

Strength comes not from frantic activity, but from being settled on a firm foundation of truth and light. (Elder Uchtdor)

Mom's plan for Dec

My plan remains the same. When I start getting 760 points I'll move on to something else. I'm obviously struggling with a few goals I presently have. Good luck to all in our December contest.

Thought #2

The miracle is not that we do this work, but that we are happy to do it. -Mother Teresa
May we find joy in all that we do, especially for others.

Thought #1

I guess I need to post a thought or 2 for this week before it's to late.

Have a time and place for everything, and do everything in its time and place, and you will not only accomplish more, but have far more leisure than those who are always hurrying. - Tryon Edwards

I know it has really helped me to exercise regularly since I designated a specific time and plan and NEVER allow anything to fill that time frame.

Love you,
Chris

New Rules

I'm fine with the new rules. I'm hoping this money thing all works out. I don't see much lately as it pretty much goes towards winners' dues so it doesn't cross my desk. Now to find a partner. Anyone left out there to partner with????
Love, MOM

DON'T FORGET TO PICK A PARTNER!!

We are going back to partners this next month so pick a partner by Sunday!

Chris

NEW CONTEST RULES ARE POSTED!!!

Please take the time to review the new rules.  We are going back to partners.  I HAVE 2 QUESTIONS!

1.  Do we want to do a 6 week contest this next month? It would make it so it ends on January 2. Which would set the new year up starting on the first week of January! I just think that would be nice.

IS THIS OKAY?

2.  I raised the entrance fee this month by $5.00 for the fun of it and to add a bit more winnings if we add 2 more weeks to the contest.

IS THIS OKAY?

If I don't hear back from anyone, by Friday the 19th, I will assume that this is what everone wants to do.

Thank you,
Chris

Wow ~ It's already time for a new month and a new set of rules!!!

I brought everything current!  So we know the winners for this past month!  Sorry my life got a bit busy and I didn't keep up last week.  I did keep up with my points chart, but then didn't ever make it to the computer and my points went down rapidly.  I am back on track and ready to lose more weight.  I am excited that I maintained my weight during my busy week - so often I gain once I lose focus.

FOR THIS NEXT MONTHS CONTEST:
I say lets go back to partners during the holiday months (November and December)!  I was a bit more motived to post my points on time even when life got busy when I had a partner.

So all who are participating, pick a partner and POST YOUR PLAN by Sunday, Nov. 21.  I called Kristy and asked if she wanted to be my partner.

Good luck this week!  My week is going good so far, now if I just post by monday, I'll be doing great!

Wenona's weekly thoughts #1 & #2

Okay I am putting my two thoughts together as I did not see anything that said that I could not.

#1 - "Consistency is the Key to weathering the storms."        -Jon Jorgensen

Jon said this tonight during one of our discussions, and I found it very true.  If we consistently read our scriptures, have personal, couple, and family prayer, FHE, attend all meetings, full fill our callings to the best of our abilities, and build a personal deep relationship with our Heavenly Father and Jesus then we can weather any storm satin throws our way.

#2 -  This is a moment that I thought to share.  I have recently ended a twenty some odd year feud with the sewing machine.  Yes, I have sewn my first project, and thanks to Chris showing me how by sewing our living room and dining room curtains David and Ashley now have curtains hanging over their windows instead of blankets!   This goes to show you that ANY THING is possible, even Wenona Jorgensen managing to get along with the sewing machine, which is saying a lot!

Where are you???

So I only saw points for Wenona and Michelle on Monday. Where is everyone elses points???
Don't tell me that the rest of you are giving up?!
The holidays are the hardest time and we need to motivate each other to do good.
So my thought is...
DON'T QUIT!!

Hey, I'm going to keep going because I am only 5 pounds from my goal weight. Then I hope to hold it there Forever(or at least within 5 pounds)

Get back into the game!!

Michelle

Monday, November 8, 2010

Wenona's Points 11/8/10

Points: 705
Weight loss: -1 pound (does not count on over all weight loss)

Michelle's Points 11/8/10

So... I didn't do too bad. Although I did realize this morning that I did not get all my water in after fast Sunday. But I did lose extra weight because of fast Sunday. I like the weight loss better.

I got 715 points and I lost 2 pounds!!!!
I am only 5 pounds from my goal weight pretty crazy. I have lost 15 pounds and Ron has lost 20-25 pounds. We are feeling GOOD!!!

Michelle's thought

Ok so here is my thought...

"I always wanted to be somebody, but I should have been more specific"

So... we all need goals, but we need to be specific with our goals so we end up where we want to be.

We are all doing great!! I look forward to another motivating week.

It's a Better Week

I wanted to report a Really Hard Time for extra points but I think I will report a pretty good week instead.

I just need to get some more exercise in and more scripture reading in and I will be doing OK.

I will look for an inspiring thought to share tomorrow. I have really enjoyed every one's thoughts each week.

Stay strong through the weekend. Fast Sunday should help a little bit!!

Michelle

Wenona's Weekly Thought #2

We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature--trees, flowers, grass--grows in silence see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence...we need silence to be able to touch souls.
                                                           –Mother Theresa

Henry B. Eyring said in his book "To Draw Closer to God" that he bore testimony "that the scriptures are not being poetic when they describe the Holy Ghost as the still, small voice.  It is so quiet that if you are noisy inside you won't hear it."

Quieting ourselves is important so that we can hear the promptings given to us by the Holy Ghost, may we all strive to do so.

points

can we simplify points by using the dewey decimal system, wouldn't that be easier. (and i don't even know what the dewey decimal system is) :) Anyway maybe 1 point for everything and 1 point off for everything if we don't do it. Can we simple minded folks function on this scale. we may have more ties, but we can get together and build fires for the tie breaker, whoever is the first to build their fire wins.

Anyway I am scratching my points for last week, I may not be a finalist but maybe I can get a high score for one of the weeks.

WAY TO GO WENONA!

I'm impressed with your will power over Halloween!  I gave myself 2 days to splurg cause I knew we had parties.  It actually made me feel really gross though cause I am not used to eating so much refined sugar any more.  So, I don't think I overate, but I certainly ate past 9:00 pm and enjoyed doing it.  For some reason it was just fun to not have to worry about what time it was!

Good luck this week - you will all need it!  I am back on task and going for a perfect score!  Yes, I took my vitamins (I lost points last week on 2 different days cause I forgot!) - not today though!

Chris

AMOUNT FOR WINNING THE CONTEST

Okay, just for the log record.  This month we have 5 participants:  Wenona, Matt, Mom, Michelle, Chris.
Which means the winning breaks down like this:  5 participants x $10.00 fee = $50.00/2(monthly and weekly winners = $25.00 for monthly winner and $25.00/4 weeks = $6.25 per week for weekly winner.

NOVEMBER
Weekly winner wins:  $6.25/per week
Monthly winner wins:  $25.00

Last month with 6 participants:  Wenona and Deb, Michelle and Mom, Chris and Mike.

OCTOBER
Weekly partnership wins: $7.50/per week
Monthly winner wins:  $30.00

Hope this helps with the financial end of things Deb.
Thanks,
Chris

Chris' Points 11/1/10

Points: 685
Weight lost: 0, but maintained.

Not the greatest week, but I sure enjoyed our two Halloween parties and enjoyed all the good food we had around until midnight both nights.  But then got back on task!  Some times it's just nice to splurge --THE KEY is the reil yourself back in within a few days or all is lost!!!!  Discipline!

Good luck,
Chris

Michelle's Points 11/1/10

Don't laugh but my points were only 565.

This Halloween thing really messed me up!!

I did still lose 1/2 pound of new weight. So, that is really good.

Better luck this week!

Halloween Horror

OK- so here's my little confession...
For that past 2 nights we have been at ward and family Halloween parties and I have been eating all kinds of candy. And then I even realized that I was sucking on a sucker after 9:00 last night. Man, are my points going to be bad this week.
Holidays are hard.

I read the rules finally

Have you ever thought of how hard it is to get that little band of energy removed, you know that one somewhere around the belly button. I think it hates me, or maybe it just laughs at me. whatever it is thinking i don't care, but when I stare at it, it just seems to stare right back at me without flinching. The real question I ask is this, Why does food have to taste so good? And then comes the question why do we feel the need to chuck it down to our stomach so quickly? before our stomach can even tell us it got food, what is it a 20 min delay. anyone up for situps, I think I will do some before I go to bed.

Chris

Candy, Candy, Candy

BE STRONG EVERYONE!

This time of year there is a lot of candy around.  Just look at it as added weight and fat!  It just doesn't taste as good if you envision it plastered to your waist, hip or bum!!

There are other ways to enjoy Halloween!  Have a good one!  We built our traditional huge maze again in our garage!  We are gearing up for our big halloween party.

Love you,
Chris

Wenona's thought #2

Chris' Plan

Pretty much the same as last month, seems to be working for me.

6 cups water/day
Weight Watchers Flex plan
Exercise 5 hours per week
Take Vitamins every night and read 15 minutes in the New Testament every day
Don't eat after 9:00 pm

Okay Michelle - I didn't give myself a free day on my good habit this month, I did lessen the time though since I am trying to do 2 good habits.  And laugh if you want, but taking vitamins is usually where I lose my points, but I need to take them (especially vitamin D here in Alaska).  If you don't you get feeling very tired!

Good luck to all,
Chris.

Chris' Points 10/25/10

NOT the perfect end I wanted BUT not a shabby end either!

Points: 725
Weight Lost: .2 (pathetic after all I have lost but at least it wasn't a gain)

Good luck to everyone!
Chris

Mom's Points 10/25/10

Points: 635
Weight loss: 0

I messed up on exercising this past week - only got in 2.5 hrs. That was bad enough....but then I lost points for no weight loss! Yikes, those points add up! I've challenged myself a little more this month hoping it will help me stay focused better.

Love, Mom

Michelle's Points 10/25/10

I did OK but messed up on each thing once.

My ponits are 675 and I lost 1/2 of new weight!

Good luck to everyone this week and welcome Matt.

Wenona's thought #1

Energy & Persistence conquer all things.

I thought that this fit our aim for this blog quite well. If we continually put our energy into losing weight (or in Matt's case gaining weight) then we will conquer the scales, looking and feeling fantastic!

Lose bad habit: Do not eat after 9:00pm
Weight loss Goal: 1 lb per week

Heres my score for this week.

Points: 715
Weight loss: +1 :(

A THOUGHT

Life expectancy would grow leaps and bounds if green vegetables smelled as good as bacon......or bread baking in the oven........or just out of the oven chocolate chip cookies! Guess we need to get imagining such things! Next time I cook broccoli I'll tell dad....."just smell that bacon cooking in the steamer". Think it will work?! Mom

Mom's Plan for new month

Food Plan: 3 veg, 2 fruit, sweets allowed 1 day only
Exercise Plan: 4 hours a week (must include Pilates or back exercises 3 x week)
Good Habit: Practice piano
Bad Habit: No eating after 9:30
Weight loss: 1/2 lb a week

I changed my food plan a little by adding a restriction on sweets. I've been indulging too much and need to put a stop to it! I'd better eat most of the chocolate covered almonds tonight! I wonder why I can't lose that 1/2 pound each week?! I'm also changing my exercise plan a little so I'm doing more than walking.

Good luck to all. Love, Mom

Michelle's In

I am so glad that Matt is joining us this month!!!

My goals are staying the same...
Drink the water
Do Jenny Craig diet
Exercise 4 hours a week
Read 30 min. a day
Don't eat after 9:00

I am tempted to add a free day to insure some extra points but I think I will restrain. I may not win but I will do better than I would have done with a free day included.

Here's my thought for this week...

I couldn't wait for success, so I went ahead without it.

So, even if we lose some points and don't have successful days every day we can still keep going knowing that we are doing better than we would have been doing.

Good Luck to everyone!

Michelle

NEW MONTH - DON'T FORGET TO POST YOUR PLAN!

Due to time and to the fact that we have 7 participants - this month is an "on your own month".  Sorry to any who wanted partners, we will do that again soon!

Please read the rules and get your fees in this month!  DEB PLEASE SEND A FINANCIAL REPORT BY SUNDAY SO WE KNOW IF WE OWE ANY FEES THIS MONTH!

This is who I think is participating this month.  We will know Sunday forsure as that is when the plans are due.

Good luck everyone!
Chris

I think i will join all by my lonesome

I am in the game again with fire in my blood. I am ready to lose no weight, nor gain weight. I just want to transfer my little band of energy around the front side of my belly to the sinews of my muscle fibers. That little band of energy has literally been jumping around wanting to do something. So situps it is and pushups and jumping jacks and running on the tread and whatever else i feel will do the job.

my good habit - write in my journal at least 3 times a week
my bad habit - no more heavy snacking at night, especially after 9pm I think that is the reason i have this little band of energy in the first place

maybe I should work on traveling more, I know Sara would love that.

Colorado would be fun, so would Arizona, and California for the winter. I think the Oregon and Washington coast would be a fun drive all the way up to that island everyone talks about. Alaska would be fun in the summer. China has some beautiful senery also. Thailand would be cool, but i hear it could be scary also. Maybe Mexico to the coco bay islands, or whatever they are called. Nauvoo would be really neat right along with the sacred grove.

Well enough jabber

Wenona's opinion for next month

I like partners but I will still be in if you all decide not to have parnters. I just know that if I had not had Deb cheering me on and me not wanting to let her down I worked a lot harder than I probably would have.

THANKS DEB!!!

Wenona

P.S. Like Ron, Jon will not be joining.

Answers

I am good with partners or not. (Great answer!)
Ron will not be joining the game. He's lost almost All of his weight. He is at -23 pounds now WOW!
If each of us ask our spouse if they are joining then the list is pretty much taken care of.
So, ask your spouse if they want to join in the game and then response back to the blog. I will call Matt/Sarah and Jay.

My thought for the week is this...

Don't Worry- Be Happy!!

Kaylee loves this saying and so do I.
Let's all enjoy the stage of life that we are in Right Now!!

Have a Great week!

NEW MONTH COMING UP!

OKAY EVERYONE - WE NEED TO MAKE SOME DECISIONS!

ARE WE DOING ANOTHER PARTNERS MONTH OR NOT?

IF WE ARE LETS PUT OUR NAMES IN A HAT AND DRAW PARTNERS WITH THE EXCEPTION THAT WE CAN'T HAVE THE SAME PARTNER AS WE DID THIS MONTH.  IS KRISTY, SARAH, RON, JON, JAY, DAD OR ANY OTHERS GOING TO JOIN IN THIS MONTH?  WILL SOMEONE CALL AND FIND OUT?

I will change out the rules as soon as we make this decision!

Thanks,
Chris

Having a hard time losing weight lately. Maybe I'll do more Pilates.
Congratulations to Chris and Mike. Looks like they had a great week.

Chris' Points 10/18/10

Points: 755 (I missed one day of reading - darn!!)

Weight Lost:  2 lbs - YES!!!  It was a great week for weight loss!  I am now all caught up and everything from here on out counts on the overall weight loss.  I AM WAY EXCITED!!!

Way to go Mike!!

Chris

Mikes Points 10/18/10

I had a little better of a week.

Points - 735
Weight loss - 2.5 lbs
Total weight loss - 26.5 lbs
Current weight - 192.5

I am at my lowest weight since we first began this game! :) I'm Still looking for that perfect score though. Kristy's mom was here all last week and it made it really hard to eat right. I think I did pretty good given the circumstances. :) I might see those high 180's by the end of this week.

Wenona's Points 10/18/10

I added up my points feeling that I had done better this week only to discover in reality I had done worse! Sorry Deb. I just think it is interesting that when you get highly motivated to do something life throws little curve balls here and there. (big sigh)

However, this is a new week so I am mentally picking myself up and geting to work.

Points: 655
Weight loss: +1 lb very sad moment on the scale, stupid scale :(

*Note* On an up beat I realized that I had not added in 30 points for last weeks weight loss so last weeks score is actually 675. I know it doesn't change anything but it made me feel good. Hey I take what I can get.

Wenona

Deb's points 10/18/10

620 points for Deb. :(

No weight loss.

Wenona and I are going to cheer each other on next week.
Go Wenona!!!!

Deb

Michelle's points 10/18/10

OK- so Disneyland was my downfall this weekend. I only got 645 points.
Man, if you don't do this game for 2 or 3 days you really lose points quickly!
I did not lose any weight, in fact I gained 1 1/2 pounds. I guess that is not too bad.
The bad thing is Ron DID lose a couple of pounds but that is because he got food poisoning the night before we left and couldn't keep anything down for a couple of days. I think I will go with gaining 1 1/2 pounds over losing with food poisoning.

Better luck to me and all of you this week!

This morning I tuned into The Spoken Word to listen to the Tabernacle Choir. I caught only the last statement of the message for today. We can apply it to our effort for healthier living:
I AM THE MASTER OF MY FATE.
I AM THE CAPTAIN OF MY SOUL.

Hard Times Ahead

So I thought I would go ahead and tell you all about some tough times that WILL be coming my way this weekend.
We are taking David to Disneyland for his trip on Thursday.
I will get a lot of walking in so the exercise should not be a problem. It's the eating that I am not quite sure about. Do they sell healthy food in Disneyland - Darn... I might me stuck.
Mom, I really will try to do my best for the team score. I can stop eating at 9:00pm, etc. Hopefully I wont miss too many eating plan points.
Good Luck to me!!

Michelle

Thought from Mom

Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise. (Benjamin Franklin)
We've heard it often......are we living it? I've got the "early to rise" pretty well mastered, just need to work on the "early to bed"!! Love from Mom

Wenona's thought #1

Last night Jon and I were watching a PBS the show called 'God in America' we didn't catch the begining and I only saw little bits and peices of it. But one statement that I did catch caught my attention and I thought I would share. They were talking about what Abrham Lincoln was saying about the war. I think the conflict on slavery, not sure, like I said I really didn't catch everything, anyways they said that Lincoln asked;

"What is Gods will?"

I thought that was very profound especially coming from a President of the United States, and I thought we should all apply that to our lives and keep it in mind, and in our prayers.

One more thought :)

In the end it's worth sacrificing that which we want in the moment for that which we want in the Long Run!

If only we could remember that in the Moment! :)
That's the Trick.

Mike

Thought

Man, if I had only just done a little bit more we would have won this week. Sorry Chris, we will do it this week.

My thought stem's from my opening statement, This is not what I want to be saying at the pearly Gates! If only I had done Just that little bit extra. :) We will never regret doing more than necessary, only that which we try to short cut on do we often end up regretting.

Chris' Points 10/11/10

YAHOO!!!

Points:  765
Weight Lost: 1 pound (not included in overall weight loss yet but probably after next week if all goes well)!!!!

I did it again!!  A perfect score and 1 pound lighter!  I really didn't think I was going to make my weight loss goal this month...but I DID!!  1 pound exactly to the ounce. I had to weigh myself 3 times to make sure.  I was very excited.  Somehow I have a fire under me right now.  I am loving how I feel and I am looking better every week.  People are starting to comment on how skinny I look.  It makes my whole day even though I know I still have quite a ways to go to get where I want to be.

Good luck everyone!

Mike - I MISSED YOUR THOUGHTS THIS WEEK BUDDY!  We need to win at least one week!  I will go for another perfect score if you do to this week!

See,
Chris

Mom's Points 10/11/10

Points: 715
Weight loss: 0

Okay, Michelle, let's both strive for the perfect score in unison this week! I lost points because I didn't lose my 1/2 lb and I wasn't sure on my water one day so I didn't count it.

Enjoy this week everyone! Mom

Michelle's points 10/11/10

I got a PERFECT SCORE this week!!!

765 and I lost 1/2 pound.
After not getting a perfect score last week and letting my team mate down I knew I had to do it this week.

I hope everyone else has great numbers too.

I look forward to another week.

Michelle

Wenona's Points 10/11/10

Thought #2

The time is always right to do what is right. - Martin Luther King, Jr.

Let's do this right and lose some weight!

Chris

Success Story

I just wanted to share a success story for the week. It was fast Sunday for us this week so I was able to fast until dinner tonight. That make it really a lot easier to get my food plan points. Maybe I need to fast more often. Also I felt really good when I went to my Jenny Craig weigh in and I had lost another pound. I am just amazed every time I lose more weight. I am now below any weight I have been since before having kids. Amazing!!
I am excited to see all of your point totals tomorrow!

Weekend Quote

So here's a thought to keep you going this weekend..

Tough times never last but tough people do!

I'm telling you, it can be really tough sometimes to eat right, exercise, read and keep our goals but we are tough and we can Do It!! It won't last forever.

Michelle

Deb popping in with inspiration....

Hello, I'm going to try to think of an inspiring quote to share, since I really need the extra points this week. (Sorry, Wenona....I'm having a tough week!!!!! It's driving me nuts.)

"Whatever you vividly imagine, ardently desire, sincerely believe, and enthusiastically act upon, must inevitably come to pass."

Wow, that's a great quote. I guess this week I'm not ardently desiring this weight loss thing. Hope you are all doing great.

Wenona -- NEXT week I am going to do BETTER!!!! I don't want to let you down again.

Love,
Deb

Thought

Here's a thought Joy sent me and I think it's a great reminder. I've put it up on the office wall.

"I BELIEVE THAT GOD WILL ALWAYS MAKE A WAY WHERE THERE IS NO WAY. I BELIEVE THAT IF WE TILL WALK IN OBEDIENCE TO THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD, IF WE WILL FOLLOW THE COUNSEL OF THE PRIESTHOOD, HE WILL OPEN A WAY EVEN WHERE THERE APPEARS TO BE NO WAY." Gordon B. Hinckley

This applies to all areas of our lives. Believe!

95 POUNDS LOST SO FAR IN 2010!

Have you seen how much weight we have lost over the year?

Now I realize that some of us are relosing some of our summer vacation weight gain - but still it keeps going up!  (Thanks to Michelle who lost quite a bit over the past three months - I finally added all your weight lost in the overall total once you shared how much you had lost.  To bad Ron isn't playing the game, his 19 pounds would make it over 100 pounds).

Let's try and hit 100 pounds this month!!  That means those of us still getting rid of weight, need to hurry up so our weight loss can count!!

Good Luck,
Chris

10/4/10 WEEKLY WINNERS

Good Luck Everyone!

Michelle's Points 715 10/4/10

OK I feel bad about not getting a perfect score when my partner did. Sorry Mom!!
I will do better this week. It's the weekend that messes me up. I sure am good at making excuses.

I am excited that I lost 1 more pound. Amazing!!! Ron and I are doing so good on our diet. I have lost 17 pounds and Ron has lost 19 pounds over the last 3 months- CRAZY!! We are looking and feeling GOOD. We hope to reach our goal weight by Thanksgiving when we go to Idaho and see all of you.

Chris' Points 10/4/10

A PERFECT SCORE!

My Points:  765
Weight lost:  1 pound (not yet to be added to overall weight, but I'm very close now)

MY FIRST TIME EVER TO ACCOMPLISH THIS GOAL!!
I am way excited!! Wowza Yowza!  I can get a perfect score!

I think today will be a good day!  I really thought my weight was not cooperating this week, but when weighing in it was exactly 1 pound less and I didn't even have to go exercise first, which means I really lost more than a pound this past week cause all the other times I weighed in after my morning exercises, I'm just really excited!  All that work is paying off -- yahoooooo!!

Good luck this week, everyone!
Chris

One last entry

I thought I better write one more entry before the end of the week. I thought I did really good at resisting temptation this week. I went to a YW breakfast and brought my own grapes and jenny craig muffin. I went out to lunch for my sisters b-day and ate really well too.

I must say I have not been a really good motivating partner though.
Mom- I hope you are doing great!!! I wish I could say that I have a perfect score but, not so. I missed one of my exercise hours and I still need to read an hour of scriptures tonight if I am going to get all of those points. But, I did visit 3 sisters for my new calling as Relief Society President. And I did watch all 8 hours of conference. This church thing is really hurting my weight loss goals.

I hope everyone had great scores this week.

Michelle

Thought

"For myself I am an optimist - it doesn't seem to be much use being anything else!"

Let's be optimistic about reaching our goals......we can do it, and it's going to be fun doing it together!

Love to all,
Mom

Conference Was Great!

Thought for the Week

Be Undaunted
Be Firm
Like unto the Stripling Warriors

Mike

Wenona's thought

Well I thought I would get in my second thought for the week. This is my favorite scripture:

Doctrine and Covenants 18:10 "The worth of souls is great in the sight of God."

I do my best to keep this thought in mind where ever I go, to remember that no matter where we are from, what we do, or what we have, God holds our souls in great value.

I love you all and hope that everyone enjoys conference.

A Thought from Wenona

"Just Do It!"
For the life of me I cannot remember which past Prophet said this however, it helps me when I am feeling lazy or unmotavated and I really need to get things done. I take a deep breath, place my To Do list in order, according to priority, then repeat this in my head and get on with it. I know this is not deep or very profound but it does help me when I need that extra little push to get myself back on track.

Whew...........

My fee's are in the mail - just before the 5 o clock deadline. :) If I didn't get there in time my next option was to call mom to see if she would accept Visa or MasterCard :) He He Thanks for the call Chris.

Well I thought that I would just sign on real quick and through out some thought and say it was motivational or something so I could get my 10 points, then I read all of your inspirational thoughts and it made me feel guilty. So now I am left trying to come up with something that at least looks like I made an effort. Hum, so here it goes my quote above my computer.

Place your trust in God
Let thy security be found in Him
Not in the things of the world!

See ya all later

Mike

THOUGHTS

Thank you for your quote Michelle. I posted it above my computer. It's a good reminder. I've learned from each person's inspirational thoughts. I'm so glad it's a part of this blog. As Jon puts it (and I believe it totally)......we are strengthening each other in preparation for the Savior's coming. Thank you all for who you are and who you are becoming. It's truly great. Continue to reach out to each other, strengthen and encourage each other, have an unconditional love for one another. We have a quest....To Be An Eternal Family......and it's going to take the effort and vision of each one of us. Having good health is key to feeling spiritually and physically strong and motivated. Keep up your good efforts........whether you are participating in the contest or not....keep up your good efforts!! I love you all!

Mom

Right now is a wonderful time - enjoy it!

Michelle's quote reminded me of what our State President said during our last Stake Conference.

Learn from the past, live in the present, plan for the future.  The best is yet to come.

I truly believe we need to learn from our past experiences and from others who have learned things and are willing to share them, apply it to our lives now and enjoy every minute of each day that we have right now, not putting things off for a better time or a less busy time because they never come - life happens!  But what we put in life is for the most part up to us!  And then last but not least - do all we can to plan for our future, making goals and stiving for better outcomes.

I LOVE LIFE RIGHT NOW AND AM JUST IN A VERY HAPPY PLACE!  I will tell you my secret to happiness - MAKING THINGS HAPPEN AND NOT LETTING THINGS HAPPEN TO ME.  I set a goal and DO IT.  I commit to projects and DO IT.  I recognize when certain things frustrate me and AVOID THEM or DEAL WITH THE SITUATION immediately rather than letting it fester.  I have learned a lot over this past year and quite frankly it all started with this healthy weight blog!  I am in a better place in my life because of my family - so THANK YOU EVERYONE!!

Love,
Chris

Inspirational thought

Swedish proverb:
Fear less, hope more;
Eat less, chew more;
Whine less, breathe more;
Talk less, say more;
Love more, and all good things will be yours.

Apply where needed!!

Mom

Thought from Michelle

Here's a thought from Pres. Monson...

The past is behind; learn from it.
The future is ahead; plan for it.
The present is here; live in it.

I think this is a great quote that we can think about with our health. We can learn from our past goals and see if they have helped us or not. We can plan what we will do about are overall health in the future. Without a plan nothing happens. But, we must live in the present and enjoy where we are, knowing that what we are doing will make us better people.

SEPTEMBER WINNERS

September Weekly Winners:

Michelle (9-6-10) 760 points
Chris (9-13-10) 750 points
Michelle (9-20-10) 760 points
Chris (9-27-10) 730 points

September Monthly Winner:
Michelle 2840 points

Yes, this is a new addition to our posting for easier record keeping.

Congratulations Michelle!  Man that was one close race in the end.  You got me by 1/2 pound, which made me lose 30 points this week, which is the amount I lost by.  Good luck this month!  Man, you and I should have been partners this month!  We are going to town!  Hate to bump you off the top, but Mike and I are going to do this!!!!!

Chris

Look at mom and Chris' point posting for last weeks points which were posted on 9-27-10

Michelle, Deb, Wenona, and Mike -

Mom and Chris posted their points "title" correctly this week.  The title is the one that is big and blue that says:  Chris's Points 9-27-10 or Mom's Points 9-27-10.

We need it to read this way so that when Deb catches up the finance part of the games it doesn't take us hours to look through the archive.  We can immediately find the posts that contain the points in them for that particular week.  Hope that makes since.  If not, don't worry about our end of things, just type the title correctly!!!  Just know it saves us a huge amount of time!

PLEASE ONLY USE THIS TITLE (Chris's Points 9-27-10 [only with your name in replace of mine])WHEN POSTING POINTS - DO NOT USE IT ANY OTHER TIME OR IT WILL MESS US UP!!!  We are trying to simplify our end.

So when you post this week, make sure your big blue title on your post looks like what mom or chris did this week when posting their points on 9-27-10.

Michelle, the new rules start as of this week.  So you didn't have to have the title correct for last weeks points, which were posted today by midnight.  So, I will mark you down for 660.

THANK YOU EVERYONE!
Chris

Chris's Points 9-27-10

My points are: 730
Weight Lost: 1 (darn! .5 shy of my goal) (still doesn't count as overall weight lost, but getting closer every pound).

CHRIS AND MIKE RULE!

Mom's Points 9-27-10

Mom

Inspiration From Deb

Wow, I'm actually posting again! It's been a while.

Here's my inspirational thought:

I figured out the secret to losing weight today.....STAY BUSY! I didn't have time to EAT today! Just barely got my "Small Plate" of food in. Hope it show on the scale tomorrow.

Here's a cheer for you all:

YOU CAN DO IT! YOU CAN DO IT! IF YOU PUT YOUR HEART INTO IT!

Have a great day,
Deb

Correct posting

I forgot to post correctly. It should read...

Michelle 665 points 1 lb. lost 9/27/10

I added 5 more points for posting correctly!!! Is this right Chris or do I just lose 5 points if I post incorrectly? You let me know my correct score. Sorry about the confusion.

Michelle

Michelle's points

So I got 660 points this week. But I did lose One more pound!!!

Good luck this week everyone!

Michelle Sabotaged!!

I had such a great plan going into this weekend. We went to the drive in movies for a friend's birthday. Ron and I brought carrots, grapes and healthy popcorn to eat. I WAS going to do really good. Then, all my friends around me started giving me, Twix and Resses, etc. They were out to sabotage my plan and... it worked. I ate some snacks and lost me food points for the day, can you believe it?! I did stop eating by 9:00 pm though and saved myself 10 points.
I need to incorporate a free day!!!
